Deep-Fried Pizza
Cheddar and Chive Scones

Servings: 4

  • 250g pizza dough, divided into 4
  • 1 ⅓ cup pizza sauce, heated
  • 1 ⅓ cup Racolli Pizza Mozzarella
  • Basil leaves, torn

  1. Preheat oven to broil and place a cast iron skillet inside to heat up.
  2. In a shallow pot or deep fryer, heat oil to 350°F.
  3. Turn out your pizza dough and shape into 8-10 inch circle so it fits in your fryer.
  4. Carefully place dough into the fryer, slowly so you do not burn yourself. Spoon hot oil generously on the top.
This ensures a soft fluffy inside and crip outside. Flip often to ensure a nice golden colour. Once done, remove from the fryer and top with cheese, then heated sauce, some additional mozzarella.

  5. Broil on top rack for 45 seconds or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven, top with fresh torn basil and serve

Customize the toppings according to your preferences. Feel free to experiment with different combinations of sauces, cheeses, meats, and vegetables to create unique flavor profiles.

Serve the deep-fried pizzas with dipping sauces like marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or garlic butter for extra flavor.

Deep-fried pizzas are best enjoyed immediately after frying while they are still hot and crispy. They may lose their crispness over time, so it’s recommended to serve them right away.

Remember to exercise caution and safety when deep-frying. Ensure the cooking area is well-ventilated and keep a fire extinguisher nearby. Hot oil can cause severe burns, so take appropriate precautions and follow safe practices.
