Autumn Burst Breakfast Parfait — Apple Crumble Jar

Ingredients

Granola:

  • 1 cup Lactantia unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups whole oats
  • 1 cup pecans
  • ⅓ cup chia seeds

Parfait:

  • 1 tbsp Lactantia unsalted butter
  • 6 apples, diced ½ inch
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 4 cups Astro Original Balkan 6% Yogurt
  • 2 cups granola
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup

Directions

Safety & Prep:

  1. Wash hands thoroughly and sanitize all work surfaces.
  2. Use the proper color-coded cutting board for each ingredient type.

Make Granola:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, oats, pecans, and chia seeds.
  3. Spread mixture evenly on a parchment-lined baking tray.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through. Remove and cool completely.

Prepare Apple Crumble:

  1. In a large skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  2. Add diced apples, cinnamon, brown sugar, and water.
  3. Cook, stirring frequently, until apples are soft and water has evaporated (about 10 minutes).

Assemble Parfaits:

  1. In serving jars or glasses, layer 1 cup yogurt, 1 cup cooked apples, and top with ¼ cup granola.
  2. Drizzle each parfait with 1 tbsp maple syrup.
  3. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
